Smokin' Rose

So at our counter meeting we got a quick rundown of what is being done BTS at fashion week.  One of the tips I picked up was using loose pigments on other areas of the face besides the eyes.  I have used pigments on my lips and cheek bones, but I never thought about mixing them with my foundation.  I am LIVING for this new technique!  Check out how much more radiant my skin looks as opposed to when I use golden elixer.

Soft Gold & Brown Cut-Crease

Lately it's been dawning on me that I've gotten really, REALLY boring with my makeup, & I wanted to start challenging myself.  I've never been very good with cut-creases, so I'll be focusing on that for a while until I'm satisfied.

Shock me like an Electric Eel

MAC's Electric Eel is one of those eye catching colors that looks gorgeous in the pan, but proves difficult to pull off when applied; at least for me.  I think I was finally able to achieve a "wearable" look using this shade though.  Finally.

Vegas Volt

The best part of makeup is there is no wrong way to do it or use it (unless the packaging specifically says so, duh)

I posted this video on instagram a while ago showing how I used MAC's Vegas Volt lipstick as a shadow base.  Take a look at the final results:

Charcoal

Hi everyone,

I've read all the comments on the last post I did (click here to read) & I will be writing a post about my experience with MAC's hiring process.  In the mean time, this is another super old look I did for work a whiiiiileeee back.  I didn't wear any foundation once again, since I don't have time for that in my morning routine, but here it is:

MAC Interview: FOTD

Happy Sunday everyone!

Hope you're all having a relaxing & lazy day.  My last post was about the makeup I wore that got me a job offer at MAC & today I'm going to share with you the makeup I wore to my interview that got me the job.  The day before my interview MAC called & the manager just gave me the rundown of what was to be expected & what to wear; what they call "trendy" black, and a smokey eye.

Poison

Hello lovies,

I was looking through my collection at all my neglected makeup & was inspired to pull out my UD Deluxe Shadow Box for old times sake.  This was one of my first palettes ever; I got it about 4 years ago.  My first was the UD Alice in Wonderland palette.  This is the look I came up with:

Kristin Ways Fashion Show

Hello Lovies,

A few weeks ago I was contacted by Kristin Ways on Model Mayhem to help out with a fashion show she was orchestrating on Long Island.  If you don't already know, Model Mayhem is an AMAZING networking site for models, MUAs, photographers & pretty much anyone involved in the modeling industry.  If you are a freelance MUA you definitely need an account.  I've met so many amazing people already.  If you do already have an account, come add me MM#2875249.  But enough about that.

New Years Eve Look

Hello my beauties,

I'm sorry for being away, I've just been busy trying to get work as a MUA & it's been pretty time consuming.  I've already done two fashion shows and a photo shoot and have another scheduled for this weekend.  If you want to see any photos from those events check them out here on my Facebook page.

While I was gone I wrapped up my first giveaway ever.  Don't kick rocks if you didn't win, I'll be hosting others in the future.  I also hit 100 followers which is AMAZING!  Thank you everyone for the support & kind words, it really helps keep me motivated.

Now enough of my rambling & let's get to the makeup, shall we?

Upside Down Brown Smokey Eye

Hey beauties!

I wanted to try something a bit different & edgier, so I put together an upside down smokey eye.
It didn't come out at dark as I had intended, but I like it anyway.  Keep on reading on for a list of products!
