Fashion Sets Haul & Swatches

Hey guys,

This post is coming about a week late, but I thought I'd share it wish you anyway.  When I heard MAC's famous Heroine was making a comeback I marked my calendar immediately!  I've seen this shade all over Instagram, Facebook & the blogospher & I NEEDED to have it.  So when their Fashion Sets collection came out 2 weeks ago I was prepared to do some damage.

**Warning!! This will be a picture heavy post!**

As you can see, I had to get a back-up of Heroine & Embrace me as well.  I LOVE pink lipsticks; I can never have enough of them.

From Left to Right: Embrace Me, Silly, Ablaze & Heroine

nThese lip pencils are amazing.  I always, always use a pencil under my lipstick to help the color last & I often have trouble finding ones to match my lipsticks perfectly.  This set is amazing because every lipstick has a matching lip pencil AND lip glass.  I'm so kicking myself in the ass for not getting the Heroine of Silly pencils :(

On to the lip swatches!

Embrace Me:
MAC describes it as a bright fushsia cream.  It doesn't really come off like that in this photo--here it's showing closer to silly's color--but it is a really, really intense pink.  It's still not as intense as Candy Yum-Yum, but it's pretty damn close.
I did swatch this with the lip pencil, but it looks just the same without it.

Silly:
MAC describes it as a bright pink cream.  It definitely lives up to that description being just a few shades lighter than Embrace Me.  These two look FAB together of a nice ombre lip.

Ablaze:
MAC describes it as a bright apricot cream.  I absolutely love this shade.  When I purchased it I thought it was gonna be more along the lines of Morange-- I guess the name kinda made me think of orange flames lol.  But I do like the color & it looks great on a variety of skin tones.  I also wore the lip pencil under this.

**I know the fuzziness is horrible, IDK what's going on lately, but I WILL edit this AGAIN once I get a better picture.  But here's one so you can see what the color looks like on.  The quality of the photo isn't changing the color at all.**

Heroine
MAC describes it as a bright violet/purple.  LOVE the color, but I was expecting more. People caused a ruckus over this thing and to be honest I think Daddy's Little girl from the Archie's Girl Collection is the same thing.  Click here to see my swatches of that. (note:  I will redo this swatch as well, it came out looking like a bright pink)

All these lippies have a matte finish, which you all know if my fave 'cause they last longer than any other finishes.

The last think I purchased from this collection was antiqued eye shadow   I used it on a client at MAC & I fell in love with it.

Stay tuned for some looks using these products & so really fun, easy lip recipes too.

    1. Ugh that sucks! You need to get a MAC Pro card, or find a friend that has one. that's how I was able to get these & most of my other L/E stuff.
