What I have to say:
I was really disappointed with the color & opacity of this product. I thought it would be a LOT darker than it turned out to be. It's advertised as "blackish-grey" & it's really just a light grey color. Also, in the promotional image Grey Friday looks like a highly opaque grey, obviously they just lined the model's lips with a similar color. Because it isn't super opaque or pigmented, it gives lips a kind of grey-ish plum look.

Here's what it looks like with a black glitter eye liner from Sephora. This is more of the look I thought I was going to get from the lipstick alone.
Let's get down to the specs shall we?
Price: $15
Finish: Frost
Longevity: Alone it didn't last past breakfast. With liner it lasted to lunch with a couple of reapplications.
Opacity: I've already went to town on this. I wasn't impressed at all by the opacity or the color for that matter.
Would I repurchase? Even if it was available permanently I don't think I would purchase this product again.
Lips: Black-ish grey eyeliner with glitter from sephora, MAC's Grey Friday & VDC Sailor Moon shadow on center of lips.
Although I wouldn't buy this product again I don't HATE it. I have worn it a few times, but if I didn't have it I wouldn't miss it. I'd much rather have a highly opaque & pigmented black or grey lipstick.
its a shame it wasnt more opaque MAC are normally so on the ball with their lipsticks too! great reveiw :)

DeleteI actually liked the fact that it wasn't that opaque and the color being buildable. It makes it more versatile since it can be layered over another color.
ReplyDeleteI agree, I just wish it would've been advertised that way so I could've passed on it. I wanted that deep, dark grey.
