My first Clients as a Freelance MUA

I've been trying to talk myself into freelancing for the past few months now & I finally got the nerve to do it in October when Natalie of NinaSky asked me to do makeup for herself & her sister for a performance.  Who says no to an opportunity like that?  Not me, so I jumped at the chance & since then I've had a few people reach out to me for my "services"lol.

Here's a few looks from the girls' performance & the week of Halloween:

Cheshire Cat

I know, I know.  Halloween is over, but I'm just not ready to let go-- & this might not be the last Halloween-y look you see from me.  I LOVE Alice in Wonderland & have been wanting to do a Cheshire Cat look for some time so here it is:

Vampy Gradient

Hey everyone!
Here’s my last Halloween look for this year.  Sorry it’s coming late, I meant to post it earlier this week, but we lost internet connection when the hurricane came through.  We didn't get hit too bad, but 90% of Long Island was without power, so I’m grateful to have at least that.  This look was done a week ago & I thought it would look pretty hot for someone going as a vampire this year.  Just add some wicked lenses & you’re good to go!

Schizophrenic

Hey there!

I was gonna hold off on posting this look until next week since I JUST posted the Black Dahlia a few days ago, BUT I was too excited & just wanted to share it.  As always, if you want sneak peaks of future posts follow me on Instagram @LexiFresh!

Black Dahlia

Hey everyone!

I'm back again with another Halloween look.  I've been watching to do something different, especially from what everyone else is doing.  It seems that everyone is whippin' up sugar skulls & Poison Ivies left & right & it's hard to be original when you're bombarded with all these things.  I've also been wanting to practice SFX makeup so I just thought the Black Dahlia would be something original.

Muscle & Bone

So I'm skipping a bunch of scheduled posts so I can pump out these Halloween looks I've done since it's only 13 days away.  This is the first look I've ever done using liquid latex & I'm a total ass 'cause I didn't know you're supposed to layer things on top of it so my tears aren't all that lol.

Lana Del Rey Inspired

Hey lovies,
Ayyy, I've had this look in my folder ready to be posted (along with about a dozen others) for weeks.  I've just been so lazy; then busy; then sick, but here it is my Lana Del Rey inspired look:

It's not an exact replica, but I came pretty close lol.

Durga Usagi Inspired Look

Durga Usagi is an absolutely phenomenal artist  & her work is badass!  I first saw her work on Makeupbee's site when I signed up a loOong time ago.  She's an avant garde MUA whose pieces are out of this world.  If you've been living under a rock, check out her site here!
I've been watching her videos for so long & have wanted to do one for quite some time, but have always been intimidated.  But today is the day.
And here's my look:

Wing-Man: Robin Inspired

I wanted to add one more look to my mini Batman series (maybe I'll add more, who knows) & thought Robin would be a good addition.  He's Batmans wing-man & I took the idea literally when I created my cosmetic adaptation of Robin.
Here's the look:

Batman Inspired

Here's another look for my mini Batman Series.  Don't go getting all excited for an over the top look.  I wore this the day I went to see Dark Knight Rises, but I had class before so I had to keep it low profile.
This is the simple look I came up with:

See, nothing too cray cray. Simple with a subtle pop of color,

MUG Weekly Challenge Batman Inspired: Harley Quinn

I'm sorry in advance!!! I was really excited about this challenge so I typed A LOT & included a LOT of pictures. I hope you enjoy :)

This weeks challenge from MakeupGeek is to create a look inspired by any character from the Batman series.  I've never read the comics or anything, but I've seen most of the movies & I used to watch the cartoon series on WB way back in the day.  I chose Harley Quinn because her character was pretty bad ass in the new Batman games& it rekindled my love for her sick & twitsted ways.
She was only Joker's crazy girlfriend/sidekick/punching bag & not really a crucial character so I wasn't surprised she wasn't included in the recent films.
This is the face chart I designed for Harley had she been in the Dark Knight.  Normally she's portrayed as really attractive, innocent, but keeping in mind how the Joker was portrayed in the film-and how nuts-O she is-I decided to make her look crazed like he was.
